Mahboubeh was born in Hamadan, Iran on May 6, 1928 to Isaac, a businessman, and Zarineh, a homemaker. She had three brothers and three sisters. Mahboubeh attended the French Alliance School but left Hamadan with her parents to come to Tehran at the age of 12. 

She married Daniel in 1946 and together they raised four children, Manijeh, Mina, Jaleh and Bijan.

Mahboubeh was a dedicated and hard-working mother and was instantly liked by anyone she met. 

She loved to exercise and be active. Mahboubeh was an avid reader, expert backgammon player and a wonderful host.

In 1986, together with her husband Daniel, Mahboubeh immigrated to Montreal to be closer to their children. 

Mahboubeh passed away at the age of 82 on June 7^th 2010, due to complications from multiple Myeloma.
