Although he did not get the opportunity to pursue postgraduate education, he was an avid reader and had a strong yearning to learn, to understand and appreciate the wonders of nature and human achievements.
Daniel was a dedicated and hardworking father and often held two jobs to ensure his family was well taken care of.
He was a strong advocate for eating a healthy diet, being active and healthy living, long before these ideas became mainstream.
He was an observant Jew, and cared deeply about the Jewish community, Judaism, and Israel.
Later in life he picked up playing Snooker with his friends and became very good at it.
In 1986, along with his wife Mahboubeh, he left Tehran and arrived in Montreal to live closer to their children.
